Health and Safety

The high-altitude position of Muktinath requires visitors to keep themselves hydrated and to rest adequately and watch out for signs of altitude sickness. A basic medical kit is essential for your trip and a doctor should guide you on required vaccinations. Try to acquire health insurance coverage if it is available.

Cultural Etiquette

View local traditions with respect and wear respectful clothing for all situations including religious sites while seeking permission when you aim to take photographs.
